The Sri Kumaran Children's Academy is part of the Sri Kumaran Group of Institutions, which is operated by the Sri Kumaran Children's Home Educational Council. It was founded in 2013. It has classes from I to X and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which is administered and controlled by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The Kumarans have a 64-year tradition of excellence in education, founded by Smt. R. Anasuya Devi in 1959. Since their inception, the institutions have grown in leaps and bounds, establishing various schools, one of which is Sri Kumaran Children's Academy. The organisation led by three generations of extraordinary women has triumphed in the face of hardships.
